Comments by "Daniel Bradford" (@Falconlibrary) on "Why Men Are So Afraid To Approach Women - Louise Perry" video.
Louise is mostly wrong, at least in regards to American culture. Both sets of my grandparents met when my grandfathers approached my grandmothers; same for my dad, who met my mom in school. I met my wife in school and was introduced to her by a mutual friend. Louise's theory that relationships were "arranged" is valid only in that many people were introduced to their partners through friends and family, but "stranger approach" has been one of the main ways to meet a potential partner in the States for several generations at least. British culture appears to be different in that Brits require an introduction or need to be "cold approached" by a foreigner (such as one of us brash Americans). Women in all cultures are only bothered by men approaching them if they don't find them attractive; even married women like being "hit on" by guys, even though it ordinarily doesn't lead anywhere.
