  1. Apaches have the Longbow radar on the mast which means they can get a rough picture of enemy force concentration while hiding behind terrain and buildinds. If you've seen those "disco-ball but rectangular" things, red/purple in color, bolted to helicopters those are counter measures meant to confuse the seeker. Basically expect losses, but not enough to degrade air power.

  2.  @victorzvyagintsev1325  Not how it works. That would require an aircraft to the on the ground to detect a radar signal pointed at the ground. If fired from above, the missile would seek the ground clutter sending reflections upwards.
