Hard to do a naval war in the continent and a land war in the ocean.

@GeneTickles Nice cope. During the Wagner march to Moscow the troll farms were in standby as they had no narrative ready, and the internet became surprisingly pleasant for a day or two.
57
Yes, but the critical issue is that 300MJ had to be put into the laser generator to get that 2 MJ, which is why people are saying it's zero point something percent efficiency. However it's a lab setting, I heard the laser could be 40% efficient if set up for power generation rather than lab experiments.

The often repeated hypothesis is that China pressured them to do it after the Olympic games.
55
He wasn't even meant to stay in Russia, his passport was revoked and he got stuck there.
52
@noah5291 Yeah you're all "skeptical". Funny how you never apply skepticism to Russia's claims.
49
@sergeikhripun If you steal a car do you find reasonable to ask for gas refills from the owner?
44
"Highly manueverable" while hypersonic means having a turn radius the size of a state.
36
@MegaAshfire Well, the Azeris were invaded in the 90s. This is more like Ukraine trying to retake Crimea a decade after losing it. It's not really an invasion when there's international recognition that you own the place.
22
@Hogwild9erguy Incapable? No. Low chance of success? You betcha.
19
@none3763 Uronically ships at port have been struck by Storm Shadow cruise missiles so air defense is to blame. Drone attacks in port are minimized with nets. You can watch the footage and these drones are striking ships at sea. You even have video showing the Russian sailors using machine guns and rifles for point-defense off the deck.
18
@WAT906 so they killed 12 pilots in this stageplay?
16
@markseslstorytellerchannel3418 That's typically how economic cycles work. You nosedive for a while, then your recovery is "growth".
15
It cost Russia 7 aircraft and the lives of 12 pilots.
14
All tanks have been used like that in Ukraine. Doesn't matter the age, indirect fire is important. However, tanks have less range than artillery and the barrels last less than an artillery barrel. So you don't pull T-55 tanks out of storage when you lack artillery. You do that when you're lacking tanks.
13
Several gunmen means it's likely to be ideological.
11
@RamblingRodeo I mean, it's not just retooling, a lower quality coal will produce more soot so it clogs stuff. They'd have to change the piping from furnace to exhaust so that it becomes less efficient but clogs less.
10
The issue is, how many anti-west fighters are willing to take 80% casualties in 6 months?
10
@IndiaTides China built cheap because the West invested there after the Sino-Soviet split as a way to approach them and isolate the USSR. Did you know that before Japan focused on quality, they were known to produce cheap crummy goods? Like China was seen in the 90s and 2000s?
10
LMAO so you follow anyway?
9
Didn't make sense to waste them on playgrounds and glass pedestrian bridges either.
9
Buddy you can see their brutal executions online, how the hell are you going to sit here and argue they treat people better?
8
@wantanamera What involvement? There's CCTV footage of uninvolved people taking stray rounds. And what kind of argument is that? Oh they're good people, but don't get involved.
8
@NathansHVAC Only when you ignore the curvature of the earth. Turkey found out the hard way the brochure range for the S-400 is only for very high altitude targets.
8
What NATO propaganda?
8
@ankhenaten2 Has to step inside FPV range. Who'd want to be near that thing? Ever seen TOS exploding?
8
@festekj The former Marine who said HIMARS wouldn't make a difference?
7
Well, Ukrainians are saying that Wagner convicts are spead into small squads so that the big artillery is wasted on small groups. They're saying they're bringing out the mortars and the 105mm to deal with the waves because they can't expend all their 155mm on such attacks.
7
@HiwasseeRiver Here's the terms: Russia abandons the Ukrainian territory according to 1991 borders and surrenders all suspects of war crimes to be prosecuted in either Ukraine or the Hague.
7
@louKushh Cope, Ivan.
7
The "F-35 can't dogfight" was clickbait journalism from a writer who didn't understand the leaked report and totally misread what it meant. Within visual range you're not expected to survive an encounter with the F-35 as it can pull high AoA and point its nose without making a turn.
7
@JPJ432 Ukraine being a left wing thing is a dissident right talking point. A very vocal minority that monopolizes online discourse, but has limited influence in the real world.
7
It's a bad thing thanks to fertilizer and grain being affected. The oil is a consolation prize.
7
Island nations that shut their borders and had summer during our winter due to being on the southern hemisphere. They got the geography right, but their measures didn't work anywhere else.
7
Half of them were put on the trenches like 8 months ago.
7
TOS-1 is garbage, though. Regular artillery or Grads are more useful than a siege breaker.
7
@SillyBillyOneHundreadMilly the Black Sea Fleet has lost enough ships that Crimea no longer matters for Russian security.
6
@BardChords Same reason Russia kept landing supply helicopters at Chornobaivka despite being attacked 30 times. Ignore the need for supplies, you lose. It's like asking why the neck has the vulnerable arteries into the brain. Without them, brain don't work.
6
Ukraine wasn't mobilizing those under 27.
6
What other sources? The ones saying Russia is taking settlements, but omitting how small and how little the distances are?
6
@no_more_free_nicks Makes you wonder why they weren't on board with the Iraq war, I thought they liked bush.
6
@zeanamush He fled to Russia but that wasn't his intended destination. His passport was revoked so he couldn't leave.
6
Fun fact, Russia shipped Ukrainians to Siberia and replaced them with Russian nationals to dillute Ukrainian nationalism. I'm sure a handful have held a grudge.
6
@timstapleman some people also believe everything Putin media tells them.
6
Guided missiles existed before transistors hit the nanometre scale.
6
Every dog has its day.
6
@badwolftx2139 The US does that to win. Win fast, less suffering. Russia is doing that because they can't win. So they want to prolong the suffering. Russia also tried decapitating strikes in Feb 24 but their plan failed.
6
@zibbitybibbitybop Hell, the Russian air force was held back by Ukraine's Soviet era air defense.
6
@gezalesko3813 Air superiority is irrelevant here. The breach is complicated by minefields. Aircraft in the air can't remove them.
5
Single anonymous source. Worthless.
