  1. False. They shot at completely random ships. They were heading to unrelated countries, I remember one if the first to be attacked was headed to Italy. Then they shot at a US Navy helicopter, which returned fire with Hellfire missiles. The Houthis were performing indiscriminate attacks from the start and they engaged US military assets first.
