  1. Its hard to get the message at normal speed with morse due to atmospheric distortion, a minor glitch and the whole message is toast.

  2. My father went on one from Glasgow to Cape Town, he didn't remember the ships name but never forgot the trip. The ships then bought Fruit and Vegetables back to Britain. He liked the Nieuw Amsterdam on the next leg to Port Said.
