Not sure what your point is?

Which Gunboats did that?

"Example: the extended forcastles added to the Flower Class Corvettes in WWII that made them far more effective escorts because they beat the crap out of their crews to a considerably degree" What does that mean? The Flower Class were excellent sea boats designed as they were for Antarctic operations.

@abrahamdozer6273 Sorry . time to do some reading. The Flower Class design were taken from Smiths Dock Middlesboro. The Design was prewar for Christian Salvesen as Whale catchers around South Georgia, which is in Antarctica. I met many seafarers who served on them both Pre and Post war (no they do not have a website and are all dead) and not one complained about the ship rolling or pitching. The complaints come from very brave men who were trained as Bank Managers, insurance salesmen who were on yachts pre war for a sail around the Isle of Wight. They were not professional seafarers, they were all in the Merchant or Royal Navy. Please do not quote third hand from a web site. You put a small vessel in the North Atlantic and it will Pitch and Roll. You maybe need to go and find the Quote from a Canadian Captain of a Clemson Destroyer. "This is the most dubious present since the Wooden Horse of Troy".

@sarjim4381 The Flower class were small vessels, the only part to need design was to enclosed the area between the Forecastle and Main Accommodation. When they were Whale catchers they had a smaller crew and to get to the Harpoon on the Forecastle there was a raised walkway from the Bridge to the Forecastle. I really cannot see any enemy bothering to look at crew moving 30ft from the Accommodation to the Forecastle. The design was good but the Royal Navy adaption was less than optimal.

@abrahamdozer6273 I do not understand your point? A corvette is a small ship, it will pitch roll and heave in a seaway, I guess you never sailed on a corvette except in a game. Unless you get a much larger ship that is what happens. So you except what happens in the ship. a good sea vessel is one that will survive a storm. Now go back to your World of Warships as it is obvious you have no experience on an actual ship.

@abrahamdozer6273 Your "explanation" makes absolutely no sense . What is a rocker?!!!You have never sailed on these ships and I have. Appears you are both shaken and stirred. Please if you have any knowledge or experience use it. Purple bruises over your body, I do not know where you go or what you do.

@abrahamdozer6273 You are making things up again. There is no Ship Construction term ROCKER!, Maybe you are confused with rocking chair, where you get your bananas and when you fall off you get the green and purple bruises? Take care and dont fall over.

@abrahamdozer6273 I see no point is debating ship design with someone who knows nothing about ship design or ship operations. You also appear immune to reading and finding the truth. I expect your 30 min ferry crossing was the source of your information, Perhaps also try and increase your reading skills? The ships were originally WHALE CATCHER's not Whale Watchers.

@abrahamdozer6273 I could use you as the comic distraction, how ignorance is bliss.

The simplest way to alter light houses/ bouys is to change characteristic of the light. I found the part on civilian ships charging around and going aground rather patronising . That is is why Light housed and bouys were placed in the first place, no electronic navigation. Without civilian ships charging around the oceans Britain would have had to sue for peace. Battleships are not good at carrying iron ore, oil or grain.

Seems very improbable, suggest you find the source.
