  2.  @CharlesStearman  They also removed the destroyer and its anti aircraft guns and depth charges from the the force . If you read about the Operation Pedestal you will then find another destroyer is allocated to escort the damaged one home, further depleting the escorts!

  3. Destroyer's bow design is to achieve high speed . A Ram bow would limit the speed making the destroyer of less use.
