People will get on me for saying this but if Japan becomes diverse as the US, Japan will not be as it is now. The good things about Japan that people like, the cleanliness, the safety and the politeness and respect will all disappear.

@jollygoodgordon5580 There is a difference of people of dark skinned Japanese and light skinned Japanese. Dark skinned are considered as lower class and poor because the dark skin is associated with working outside doing manual labor such as farmers and construction workers. While lighter skinned Japanese are considered have a higher education because they are inside and are office workers using their intellect. Even in America, light skinned Black Americans are treated differently than dark skinned Black Americans.

@containeduniverselow4790 This was started centuries ago. Royalty and people with money stayed indoors to read and listened to music and so on while the commoners and workers like farmers, fisherman, gardeners worked in the sun differentiating the class system.

@Unknown-hj7uc Japan gets a lot of pressure from other countries like the US to get more diverse. They want Japan to mirror the US have lots of people of color in their country. America doesn't like the population being 97% Japanese.

@taky2686 Look at the history of people of nobility and Geisha's faces as they put White make up on their faces because it was of high status to be light skinned.
