It was dressed a bit softly last week in velved language, and decorated with cotton buds, but now it comes out clearly as a lockdown. First too tolerant measures, much too loose, then of course the consequence: strong. That is Asia. There is a Mathematics channel, it's owner guy easily proved with some simple model calculations, that flattening the curve or herd immunity are both completely unrealistic. The first would drag the entire crisis for far too long and make it country-killing expensive, the second would cost far too many lives. The only realistic goal is squeezing R0 < 1, and that as fast as possible.
