It is absolutely insane requiring the same COE for a 500 k Bentley and for a 1.8 l VW Golf.

@fidelcatsro6948 I bought a Sym 200 with $ 3600 COE in Dec 20019. The next month COE shot up to $ 4600, and from there it was a never-ending inflated and useless tax, that only robs money from the lower income groups. Those who buy a $ 70,000 Harley do not care much.

@kengleetan63 I do not know if another government would really do better, but I doubt this. Once you sit in that high-up chair, you will not see the world in detail down there anymore clearly. But I do know there are other ways to regulate and control things. Literally taking the money from the lesser wealthy and putting it into the pockets of the wealthy. It also applies to other issues. There are HDB with Mercedes 350 and Jaguars parking in front. They get all these subsidies, and I am living in a low-end private property get nothing. Not complaining, just an example. @vincecarlo Discussion with you is usually a waste of time. But the current economic situation is not the result of government policies, but because of that madman in the Kremlin. In a small country, you have to control vehicles and build up areas. The problem is the method, not the need for it.
