  1. In the modern world you could not win a serious conflict anymore, if you do not have allies and friends. A small local conflict may be. But even Taiwan would be a lost case for China before they even started, unless they have allies to support them.

  3. You can only have effective alliances with countries who are standing on a similar political platform. It is not possible to form successful alliances in between countries that have opposed goals.Therefore, Pakistan would have to accept their role as a domestic helper for China, or the contracts will be only useless paper.
