It's sad. Apartheid had to go but the alternative wasn't much better.

@okbless360degree lol a "failing" European country is still a lot better than the best Africa has to offer. Just because an economy is growing fast does not mean it is good. It's like a beggar laughing at the millionaire that he got $999.000/month instead of 1 million because the beggar went from $1 to $2. Sure the beggar doubled his worth but compared to the millionaire he is nothing.

@bibo3878 It will be like Zimbabwe where the government kicked out the white farmers and took their lands then begged on their knees for them to come back because apparently they could not find anyone that could make good use of the land. Which is strange I mean surely there should have been someone not white able to run a farm.... at least you'd think so but apparently not.

How is it that the brutal and ruthless apartheid government managed to sort the power situation out but it's impossible for ANC? Also you guys voted for those guys, it's what they say you get the leaders you deserve. You vote for trash you get trash.

Solar power is not really that great. Solar energy in Europe is like 5.5% and that's after billions and billions are poured into it. Even if SA could afford it it would not make that big of a difference.

@haydenriggsnz Putting competent leaders in charge seems like a good start.

@tex4523 In that case it does sound like the whites are better off getting independence and making their own nation. I wouldn't want to be stuck with people that are hating my guts and since you guys don't want them anyway that sounds like a win win to me. Obviously the writing is on the wall that SA could not handle the brain drain that would occur with all the whites leaving making their own country to outcompete the black part of SA.
