Like the video suggested she has a very good image abroad but she's done very little to improve the lives of people living in NZ.
24
What system? Democracy? No matter how popular she is outside NZ it's the people of NZ that choose their leaders and she failed them at home. She was going to lose the election bad so she decided to step down to avoid being totally crushed. At the end of the day it's not a bad thing if a leader is honest and empathetic but they need to improve the lives of their citizens being nice won't buy people food or get them affordable housing.

So you think the attack on America is what lead to the constitutional laws restricting Japan from building up their military? There is a reason they are hated by most of their Asian neighbors. It's hard to find a more brutal and cruel nation, everyone should be concerned about Japan rebuilding the military.

You know that "The wire" is a TV show, not a reality show right? Don't get me wrong its a great show I just don't think that putting a few poor students into the mix is going to turn these schools into a gang banger's paradise. If you really want to use that show as an example how about Namond Brice, his father being a soldier for a drug kingpin. With the right education and guidance Namond is able to get out of his fathers shadow and "the game" becoming something in life.

@caskraker YES please I don't want to work! Give me free money so I can chill all day on someone else's expense. I cannot wait.

@wickerworld There is no way her party could secure a victory with the right bloc, made up of the centre-right National party, increased its lead by to 38%, while the Libertarian Act party, jumped to 11%, putting the two parties in a comfortable position to form a government without needing additional coalition partners. Her left block was getting destroyed so they decided to switch in hopes of turning it around.
6
It's a democracy that means if you do a bad job you're out next election. That's how it goes. Doesn't matter how good of a person is if you cannot improve the lives of the people living in your country then you have no business leading them.
4
@alicetumblescribbleson5961 It's funny how internationally people think she's a saint but she actually showed totalitarian tendencies with her COVID ideas and policies. I am so happy she's gone. Can't imagine what kind of freedom she would want to take next.
4
The video forgot to mentions the riots that resulted from her COVID policies... Never seen riots like that in NZ people just got sick of her.
3
@2bfrank657 Isn't her approval rating in the twenties %? Very few people like her. Even Trump had higher approval ratings than her and he was hardly popular.
3
Then why do they get invited to schools and kindergartens?
3
CNN NBC etc is not much better. Alternative media is where you find real news.
2
@nigelralphmurphy2852 why? Her approval rating was less than 30% when she left. I think the numbers speak for themselves. Even Trump was more popular than she was.
2
Maintaining a good image outward while not doing anything for the citizen of the country you are supposed to lead? God help us all if this is what a good politician is supposed to be like.
2
I saw an interview with a cartel member and he said that the cartels are only as big as the government allow them to be. I think that's the sad truth, the higher up politicians are making big money on the cartels and they make sure they stay in business.
2
She was good at taking away freedoms that's for sure.
2
Every problem in the world can be boiled down to a political Democrat vs Republican issue for some people. I am surprised you did not blame Trump for this one lol.
2
I used to like Vice now I just get disappointed, they have become a political org.
2
Plenty of nations in the world with equal access to US guns that does not turn into a free for all gang nation though.
2
@cliveklg7739 I cannot speak for him but for me it's about the parents. If you are okay with your child going to a drag show that is fine you can go for it but if some parents don't want that then you have to respect that. You cannot just invite drag shows to schools without letting the parents know or getting everyone's consent. Don't pretend you know better what's good for the child over the child's parents. If you are an adult you can do whatever you want but if we are talking about minors the problem is they are not old enough to give consent and you have to respect their parents. Especially when they are below 15.
2
The problem is teachers are inviting them to schools and kindergartens, sometimes without the parents consent or knowledge.
2
@mbogucki1 Then why does Canada not have the same problem with gangs controlling entire cities?
1
Well it shows that the Chinese are just as bad as the Americans I guess. But most of us already knew that.
1
@5british5 Because sometimes it's done at schools without the parents consent or knowledge. Big no-no. Of course that leads to push back.
1
I skip both for my child, thank you. Just because one is better than the other does not make it a viable option for a child.
1
Nobody cared until kids got involved.
1
Nobody cared until kids got involved.
1
Gay people are just like everyone else, there are good ones and there are bad ones.
1
How can you start blaming another country when you let GANGS CONTROL ENTIRE CITIES? Obviously the political leadership failed big time. No matter if you could remove ALL US guns over night it won't make a difference if you allow criminal gangs to get that amount of power. The country has been struggling with corruption and has had multiple coups for decades. Bad leadership created this mess, hopefully they find a way to fix it.
1
You can never take guns out of the equation because the military uses guns, as long as there is corruption the military will just continue to sell guns to criminals or look the other way when they import it from other countries.
1
Plenty of nations and people face these issues without turning into violent criminals though.
1
@grmpEqweer Doesn't matter, criminals and bad people will use whatever is available to them. In London they banned knifes because shockingly gangs kept killing each other even without access to guns. What a big surprise, we all thought they would all let go of murder without guns that's what the journalists told us.
1
Not all Latin American countries have this problem though. It seems more of a corruption and bad leadership problem then a gun problem to me.
1
Well the border is practically open so I am sure they are having a field day down there.
1
@Dereck.3312 With that logic it's the Hondurans fault for their gun consumption.
1
@jasonthewatchmansson8873 I was just going to say lol I would skip both for my child.
1
@landon7974 Taking away American guns from Honduras would not change much they would just get them somewhere else. There is a demand for guns because the government is corrupt and gangs are allowed to play a bigger role in society. If the root of the problems were American guns then all South American countries would have this problem but they don't. So it's an Honduran problem.
1
@saintantony944 Actually most shootings occur in cities with very strict gun control laws. Say hello to Chicago. Also Guns are illegal in Honduras. It's like Criminals don't care about gun restrictions, what a big surprise?
1
She did great during the pandemic???! What?! That's why people hate her. Lockdowns, vaccine mandates, extreme measures? Her policies resulted in major riots that NZ has not seen before. Her pandemic policies put the nail in her coffin at home there was no way she would get re-elected after that mess.
1
Didn't she laugh about banning the unvaccinated from stores and restaurants? Her Covid policies were crazy exaggerated. Turns out people did not want to be locked inside their rooms their whole life. Who would have thought?
1
Yep nobody cared until activist teachers started inviting drag queens to classrooms.
1
Weeeeeeeeeeell I would not bring a child into a drag show made for adults but hey you can take your kids to strip clubs and hooters if you want more power to you.
1
@charlesmiv3842 It is if it's done without the parents consent or knowledge.
1
You should check the Middle East man... full of conflict in that region. They love to kill religious minorities and throw homosexuals off buildings.
1
Man you are so angry, did an American steal your girlfriend or something lol?
1
Because the Mexican government officials are on the cartel's Payroll.
1
Mexican government need to stop the cartels from becoming so rich and powerful, look at Canada... why don't they have the same problem there? I am pretty sure it's easier to smuggle a gun from the US to Canada than it is to smuggle it from the US to Mexico. The cartel is only as powerful as the Mexican government allow them to be. Obviously a lot of politicians are on the cartel payroll.
1
@timdeathly And why are not the Canadian gangs having them if they are so easily obtained?
1
@timdeathly The problem is Mexico. The security at the Canadian border is even more lax than the Mexican - US border yet we don't see Canadian gangs building small armies with rocket launchers, armored vehicles with thousands of well armed gang members with heavy US weaponry. The Mexican government has allowed the Cartels to become powerful and rich, Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries in the world so it's not surprise that the cartels have became so powerful. Combine the massive amount of money these cartels are making with one of the most corrupt governments in the world and you can start to see how this problem started. I saw an interview with a cartel member and he said the government is the king and the cartels are only as powerful as the government allow them to be. I think he hit the nail with that one when you have so many high level politicians on the cartel's payroll there is little hope for change for the better.
1
If this is an issue about American gun laws then why aren't there Canadian cartels going ballistic up there with American weaponry I mean they share the border too, right? Obviously the cartels growing powerful and dangerous is at the fault of the Mexico government allowing them to. Mexican corruption is one of the highest in the world and it's obvious high level politicians are having some of the cut from the cartels or else they'd be wiped out long ago.
