All that is fine just don't come back crying when India faces the consequences from the west for doing business with Russia. After all the western countries will look at it's own self-interests first.

@hpw-ws6bj Really? is that why the Chinese have a special phrase for poorly constructed buildings and roads coined by it's own CCP premier? 豆腐渣工程 - Tofu-dreg project. Sounds like the CCP leadership did not have very high thoughts about Chinese infrastructure and buildings.

@yangleezhao908 China is at 189, perhaps they misunderstood and thought higher was better? Wouldn't be the first time they have incompetent leaders, mistakes like that could happen.

India is way too close to Russia for that to ever happen. If it wasn't for China the US would not be on friendly terms with India.

It just comes down to leadership, Xi wants to stay in power for life and we will probably not see much change until he is replaced. It's a dictatorship so a change of leadership can literally turn the country 180 when it comes to foreign policy. It all depends on the next Leader's personal stance on India.

Probably not a good idea to upgrade India's arsenal too much. They are a good counter to China but they get in bed with the Russians so not really sure we want to equip them with the latest and greatest. Obviously American arms manufacturer don't care and they only see the dollar signs but hopefully the politicians will get some re-assurances from India regarding their close relationship with Russia. It would not be wise to hand over high tech weaponry that Moscow can get their hands on.

@trunkschillman No they are not fighting the world they are fighting Ukraine. There are plenty of militaries using technology and gear from other countries you think the Iraqis used Iraqi tanks against the American invasion? No they used Russian / Soviet era weapons. Finland's air force uses F-35, those are not Finish jets they are American. American and European technologies are used by pretty much every single military across the globe. Just because you attack someone that uses equipment made in another country does not mean you fight that country, don't be silly. The Russian army has performed utterly disastrous Ukraine is not even in the TOP 40 list for militaries in the world and Russia is up there being a military super power. On paper Russia should have smashed Ukraine in less than 2 weeks.
