@yawningpheonix Everybody has their own struggles, that's life. There's a reason we don't allow children to vote and own firearms, they are too young to fully understand the consequences of their actions.

@baddapplesauce Just because you are a civil rights activist in the 50s and 60s doesn't mean you are 100% pure and have no flaws. It is pretty well known that the guy hated Jews with a passion it has been well documented and even being an influential member of Nation of Islam, the organization that denied the Holocaust in the 50s and 60s. I think it's important while we can celebrate these figures for their roles in the civil rights movement we can at the same time point out that they were not by any means perfect and they held racist and hateful opinions themselves.

If you are talking about California like in this case it's one of the most left/democrat leaning professions in the state and are ironically also the people being part of the California teaching association that is pushing for critical race theory. To practice what you preach is apparently very difficult for these people.

It’s funny how followers of a religion that considers non-belivers infidels and living in a country with 97% muslims talking about tolerance. What happened to your jews, what happened to your Christians? It’s easy to speak of tolerance when you feel offended when you have rid your country of non-belivers for decades. Iraq is and has been a hotbed of religious intolerance for a very long time, it’s no wonder ISIS managed to take hold off territory so easily in Iraq. A lot of locals supported them.

@numatruehome100 Nobody has given the green light to bully people. If they are suicidal then they should be provided psychological care to help them accept themselves as they are. Once they are 18 they don't need their parents' consent to do anything and can do whatever they want to their own bodies if they so wish to. Bullies will go after people regardless, you think if you are fat and get bullied the solution is to get a fat reduction surgery? I am sorry to say the bullies will just find a new reason to bully you, you cannot solve bullying with surgery, that's not how it works. If you have mental health issues the best way is psychology and therapy hands down surgery has never been the go to for mental health issues ever.
