  1. You are over-exaggerating. No borders, freedom of movement etc are for EU MEMBERS Citizens that means that citizens of one EU country can go to another EU country without having to worry about borders. Russia is not an EU country so they cannot do that, same with America and EVERY single non-Eu country. You have completely misunderstood this part of the EU. The Travel ban are on Tourist visas, Russians would still be welcome on any other type of Visa. Last part this is just a discussion just because a reporter ask the question doesn't mean the EU is going to implement this. I used to be very against both the EU and NATO before the war I thought people were silly, comeon Russia is one country the EU and NATO are many no way Russia would do anything to piss them off. Turned out I was wrong now I am very Pro-NATO and happy my country finally applied to join. (still a bit unsure about EU but at least my opinion is a bit higher of it now).

  6. Because they are the enemy now, why would you let your enemy send people to your country freely? Of course border countries are uneasy with Russians coming in as they could be spies. Also it's not a travel ban they are talking about tourist visas. Student visas and work visas whatnot are still allowed and those are more closely monitored tourist visas are basically given to anyone that pays the visa fee.

  7. 70% of the population are in favour of the war, for the other 30% they can go anywhere else in the world other than the EU. you want to leave Russia and the EU is closed, well you still have a lot of continents open to you.

  12.  @neodym5809  Get a green card/residence permit - all you need for that is to be married to a EU citizen or have a child that is a EU citizen. This ban will not affect those with family members that are EU citizens can get there with said green card/residence permit.
