@jamesgreen1116 EU and NATO are not democracies, unions and defensive pacts do not work the same as states. Perhaps a political science course would help you further your knowledge on that subject.

@dantepr1566 Erdogan is Erdogan he is pretty much a one man show in Turkey, I am sure if he wants to withdraw his signature he could do so within 5 minutes. The Turkish parliament is only there for show, Erdogan is the one deciding what they should and shouldn't do.

PYD and YPG are not labeled as terrorists by the US or EU - stop spreading lies and misinformation. Turkey wants everyone to label YPG and PYD as terrorists so they can justify their war on their Kurdish population. Alas the rest of the world can see through it.

@papiii_chulo Yeah about that how about we ask Turkey to change their constitution and label a few peaceful organizations terrorist organizations, also we can ask America to send over some F-16s in return for Turkey's Eu ascendancy. We have to respect their culture, everything is a negotiation.

In a perfect world Turkey would not oppress the Kurds and genocide Armenians but alas it's not the world we live in.

Turkey doesn't have any leverage, the US won't agree to any of it and all other NATO members are getting annoyed at them. In the end Erdogan realized he would not get anything from it and just signed it.
