  1. And I can tell you it went into the 1980's too. I was on WDOM from 1985 to 1987. And yes, funk, r&b station. Plus in the area you had WBRU who on Sunday had the Black Experience in Sound. Plus you had MTV and BET playing music videos. And how did this white guy end up with the Jazz, Funk, R&B and even Motown -= it's all stuff I heard on the radio as a kid.
