  1. Well - interesting how they went with magnetic memory. I know at one point they played with Williams tubes, flying spot etc. But those must have been too expensive. And consider - we now use capacitive memories and some magnetic memory on our computers and devices.

  2. Yeah - capacitive RAM didn't happen until the late 1960's.
