  2.  @FastCarFriendly  I remember when these trucks came out it was just becoming a senior in high school, I really liked the original rims that came with the truck.

The only thing I can think of is that whatever clearcoat Ford switch to in the 2000s to make the truck more durable must’ve been a super hard clearcoat, i’ve always felt and I’m only a DIY detailer but when you have soft paint, not only does it scratch easy, but it also corrects much easier likewise with hard Clearcoat it’s harder to scratch up but it’s also harder to correct I find that on a lot of GM specially Corvettes, I also think it’s your location you guys get harsher winters and summers and It’s much harder than we have out here in Sacramento There we are a much more constant temperature
