  1. +MilitantAntiTheist I used to believe most liberals weren't so naive but recently they've proven me otherwise many times over. To me Islam is just another right-wing movement, but to them it's some romantic anti-imperialist underdog.

  2. Those who want Sharia law in society yet espouse they favour secular democracy are committing Taqiyya. The Quran allows believers to say whatever their opponents want to hear if that furthers the expansion. Scholars call it legitimate to lie if it means 'smoothing over differences'.

  3. TheKeyser94 You are holding Muslims to lower standards. Muslims hold incredibly right wing / conservative values but you make an exception for them because they tend to look different.

  4. TheKeyser94 That's a fairy tale. Sultans were still trading slaves in the 60's and appealed to their Islamic faith when JFK wanted these countries to abolish it. The Middle east was just another backwards bunch of calliphates ruled by warlords. Sure not different from other medieval cultures, but at least some of those cultures got over themselves and kicked of the enlightenment.

  5. MilitantAntiTheist ISIS and Saudi Arabia are great examples of Islam once it reaches institutionalisation. That's why it matters that ISIS is throwing gays of buildings and dismissing them as outcrops, that's regressive. It matters that they trade in sex-slaves, treat women like cattle, throw gay people off buildings, stone adulterers, crucify bloggers, murder apostates or throw acid in the faces of young school kids. All of that  is on Islam and Islam alone.
