If Japan didn't hide their mistakes and accepted what they did in ww2 I'd feel more comfortable. This is like giving a fellon a gun who's been going steady for years, but never admitted his guilt.

@Loki-Fenrir my grandfather was tortured and lost 2 kidneys, he watched them bomb a village out of existence. Until they acknowledge their past mistakes they are doomed to repeat them. Germany is a good example of a country that acknowledges their mistakes and learns from them.

@sandywang1452 yeah, we agree then. Unfortunately that's not currently what they do.

Sure, just don't look back and you won't be worried about what lies on the road ahead

@douglee4268 you don't hear much about "death camps" either. My grandfather wrote a book about his "my life with the samurai: how I survived the Japanese death camps". To hide their crimes against the native village near their camp, they bombed it out of existence. In the camp torture was made into a game.

Or waifu robots that can reproduce.

Mixed feelings. I don't trust Japan with a big militarily. They still refuse to learn from the mistakes of their past.

@giganigga9624 they are also great at burying their past and ignoring the many war crimes they committed in ww2. People who don't learn from their mistakes are bound to repeat them. It's like giving a felon gun who never acknowledged or admitted their guilt.

@sandywang1452 when did I say Japanese government wasn't racist in ww2? I don't understand your point

What could go wrong? Not like they ever tried to conquer Asia before.....
