  2. @ they probably pump warm water into the road, or at least warm enough not to cool down! I wonder why japan does not tap its seemingly endless reservoire of thermal energy more, they are sitting on a ton of hot springs which can be used for central heating!

  3. @ this is higly individual, I have two appartments to heat, in one we live with 21.5c all year round, the other must be heated to 23.5 otherwise I get complaints!
