  1. I lived in Beijing for a few years teaching english, and I hated I wasnt fluent in Mandarin!! Luckily most urban chinese 30 and under speak limited english. But still I hated how difficult it was to learn mandarin, I tried and tried and tried and I just couldnt ever grasp it. The four tones always threw me for a loop.
