@kennethlaw5216 I think the thing that disturbs me the most about your later comments was when you said, us all wanting a better life is the only thing we have in common with these illegals. Paraphrased of course.
That's disturbing on a couple of different levels honestly. First it's illogical. Because how do you know that? It's lazy thinking to. Hell don't even know them and I can think of a way more things we have in common with them. Most are parents, sister, brothers, aunt, uncles, grandparents, creative, hard workers, hopeful, scared, loving, want to help others. Some could be artists, inventors, Engineers, doctors, want there kids to get a good education, want to learn more themselves, love dogs, smakers, have issues, have medical conditions, speak only 1 language, want to learn more themselves.... And on and on....
Second, why does that matter? It obviously matters to you. Why is that? Why do you have to have something in common with someone to want to help them or wish them good things? Why do they have to be like you for you to care about them?

@kennethlaw5216 So that was an honest argument based on fact and logic. So for that effort I will respond. Almost all of what you said was accurate. It is about big buisness. It is about short term thinking. It is about useful pawns. The only thing that I find people like you ( smart but often to frustrated to see the whole bored ) miss is... Your manner of thinking, your overt hate for these people, and yes, your belittling of them plays right into their hands. You feel powerless to stop these currupt politicians and big biz but they know that you need to take that frustration out on someone. So they can keep doing what they are doing and you will keep doing what they want. It's those illegals! They are to blame. Not the companies that are taking just as much advantage of them ( if not more so ) as they are you. No! They are touchable. Them you can reach. Not some abstract CEO you have never and probabaly will never lay your eyes on. It's easier to hate and judge them. You just don't realize by perpetuating that irrational hate for the other, your feeding into it. Your helping those biz men to keep doing what they are doing. You actually said it yourself in this last comment....
" so when we all quit for better-paying jobs it forced them to pay more money to steal workers from other companies."
You mean to say... You came together instead of being divided and it ended up that people got paid more twards what they where worth?
I mean... It seams like you have been in this a long time sweetheart and I think you have a little bit of the fog of war going on... And that you don't really see what you say sometimes. You say your not desprate or superior...
"This clown has been here 30 years illegally and is proud of it."
You have to belittle them by calling them names without provocation. Also make assumptions about how they feel without knowing. Giving you the excuse to belittle them.
" no we are not built on illegals"
You are offended at the idea of someone not being here legally and yet still helping to build this nation you are so very proud of. Dispite the facts of the matter.
" they wanted a better life and that's the only thing we have in common with illegals "
Affirmative statment. You could npt possibly be anything like "these people". Only that one thing. No more. Which is obviously illogical. Come on now.
"( your grandfather) he didn't get handouts and send his kids to school on other legal peoples tax dollar "
In your last comment you mentioned they work. Most work very hard. They work hard dispite not getting the protections afforded to us, dispite being hated and attacked constantly because if circumstance. I'm not saying the system isn't badly broken. I'm saying they are just as much pawns in that game as you are and you hate them for it.
"Of the shithole he left"
Belittling even where they come from. Thats not even as good. Its necessary to put it down, for you. You can't think for a min that what if that was you waving an American flag in another country and it offended someone so much theybhad to tell you your home was a shithole. Wouldn't you find that offensive and unnecessary? Mostly, would you care to listen to that person's plight any more after that?
" most of these people who come here have no respect for America. Won't fight for it. They were too big of cowards to fight to save their own country. All they want is a handout."
Finding it necessary to illogically villainize them. Justifying your attacks. Knowing that you saying that can't possibly be coming from a place of logic. Cuz you don't know these people. So how could you know this? You mention schools a lot. So you know on some level they are doing it for their kids. If you had to choose between your kids staying alive and your country.... We know what we would all choose and that is the choices most of these parents have to make. They are not being cowerds. They are being whatever they have to be to keep their kids breathing. They are being parents. Any parent understands that.
This is where we get into you needlessly insulting me. Fun times.
" innocent children? Really put down the crack pipe"
Yes. Innocent children. You said it yourself right after. " the only reason they are here in the first place is because their parents broke the law and brought them here". So yes. Innocent children. No you should not feel sorry for them. We should help them. They are children and need it. Thats all anyone would need to know who had not already began seeing them as less than. If you see a child who is lost, you help them get home, if they are without food, you share yours. Because what if that was your child that was hungry and lost. Wouldnt you want someone else to help them? That's not being a bleeding heart. Thats just being a decient person. And the "crack pipe" thing. I only mention it because it is the start of you seeing me as someone you need to start bringing down. A threat of some kind. A challange to your ideas. So you have to make yourself feel above me.
" you still don't get it stupid. It's obvious you have never worked hard a day in your life. Well I'm sure you think you have but I can tell you haven't"
Now normally someone with healthy reasoning does not feel the need to belittle someone else because they simply dont agree with what they are saying. Its unnecessary because they don't need their validation. You, from this point on... Have to do it. You have to try and make me smaller some how. You have to villainize me without knowing anything about me. Make assumptions. Tell yourself a story to justify your actions. That's not logical.
" your ancestors must be so proud of you. That you turned your back on the law and Country they swore to protect."
Drastic overreaction and more villainization. You feel more threatened and so you ratchet up the story you tell yourself. I have to be all these things because I don't agree with all of what you're saying. The very core of who I am has to be bad because of that. That's not logical.
" also you notice that I said you didn't serve. You see it takes honor and patriotism to stand up for what's right"
See now I'm not perfect and thought of clapping back just then. In the end I just decided tondonwhat I'm doing now. Trying to point something out to someone in obvious pain so that maybe he could see it, address it and live a little happier. ... But the implication isn't logical, right? you don't have to have served in the military to be a patriot or to have honor. You don't I don't and nobody else does. Thomas Jefferson said dissent is the highest form of patriotism. A founding father. Being willing to point out our broken bits, dispite the hate you get fpr it, so that we can work to make it better is honorable, is patriotism. Its how we learn and grow.
So when I say your taking the wrong tactic, your angry at the wrong people and you have to make people feel smaller to make yourself feel better, these are all the completely unnecessary examples of what I mean. you're getting mad at the wrong people and just giving those people that deserve that anger what they want.
