@qli2911 First... I've worked for H and R Block for 12 years. My mother for 30. She is now the lead Tax advisor in 2 states. Louisiana and Texas. Now that we got that out of the way... Your statment is incorrect. Illegal immigrants can and often do get issued tax ID numbers despite their status. In some states (27) it's even mandatory. Many of them file their taxes each year like the rest of us under those tax IDs.... Kinda anyways. It's called ITIN. Which is tantamount to the same thing but only in specifically for paying taxes.

I have worked for H&R Block for the past 12 years and my mother has been there 30 and is the lead Tax Advisor in two different states. Louisiana and Texas. There are so many errors in those paragraphs I don't even know where to start. So some get financial aid but that does not help their tax return amount. It hurts it. ITIN is what they use to file. Most tend to fill 10-90s in some form or another and not w-2s. Sense most have to file under independent contractor status. Most do not qualify for earned income tax credit because of their legal status and therefore pay in more. The contributing factor is also a lack of records for their pay. Oftentimes they are a fraid to answer too many questions when they come in and so miss out on several exemptions they could have gotten. Which cancels out the rest of your tax paragraph. As far as the rest, I love you guys. Y'all are super entertaining. You think you're a little diatribe there in the last two paragraphs was clever. When in all actuality you do what every other Trump supporter dies when trying to defend your dear leader. You make a crap ton of baseless assumptions, set up a paper tiger and then feel really proud of yourself when you tear that thing down. Not once considering the fact that maybe if you have to make s*** up in order to have an argument about something... Maybe... Just maybe... It's not worth arguing.

There are many other examples of illegal and slave labor in history. They even enslaved indians for decades after. It was built on both. As far as the drug war... I and hisory refer to it as our drug war because we gave it the legs that needed to run. We're drugs around before the CIA in America got involved? Of course. But as far as America Mexico and the areas and countries surrounding it, we might as well have given it an IV of stimulants for the past 50 years or so. Before that cartels had not ravaged their countries. Violence was way down and their economy wasn't that bad. Or corrupt. Look up the CIA and our drug war. All the rest of what you were saying is pure craziness. You do know that's a misnomer right? Yes lots of them come here wanting a better life. They also come here and work their ass off for it. For you to just blanket get make all these assumptions about them says a lot about you and not that. Unless you would like to explain how you know that they don't give a s*** or they don't work hard or they don't fight for this country and would not in the future? Do you know these people? You know who they are or where they're from? Do you know their names? Do you know anything about them? No. You do not. So all of that craziness is just a bunch of small-minded assumptions trying to make you feel like you're somehow better than they are. So you should probably look into that. @kennethlaw5216 I think the thing that disturbs me the most about your later comments was when you said, us all wanting a better life is the only thing we have in common with these illegals. Paraphrased of course. That's disturbing on a couple of different levels honestly. First it's illogical. Because how do you know that? It's lazy thinking to. Hell don't even know them and I can think of a way more things we have in common with them. Most are parents, sister, brothers, aunt, uncles, grandparents, creative, hard workers, hopeful, scared, loving, want to help others. Some could be artists, inventors, Engineers, doctors, want there kids to get a good education, want to learn more themselves, love dogs, smakers, have issues, have medical conditions, speak only 1 language, want to learn more themselves.... And on and on.... Second, why does that matter? It obviously matters to you. Why is that? Why do you have to have something in common with someone to want to help them or wish them good things? Why do they have to be like you for you to care about them?

Making assumptions about me that you could not possibly know. Your trying to tell yourself a story. You need to do that. You need to put people on a lower level then you. If you had a real point, you would not need to do all that from the jump to validate yourself like that. I mean... I can tell you I come from a strong military family, 5 generations back, on both sides. I can tell you both my grandfather's (british and american) faught in ww1 and ww2. I could tell you both my grandmothers where army nurses in them as well. I could tell you that I am a single mother who works 4 different jobs. Uber, Lyft, door dash and I run my own graphic design biz. I vould tell you that is as well as being a head PTA mom and karate mom. I could tell you when I'm not doing all that I'm helping my sister in law take care of my brothers 3 kids because he is deployed to Iraq right now and she works 60 hours a week herself. I could tell you about my uncle Bruce who died in tower 1. I could tell you that none of the 911 hijackers came through the border all of you are talking about. I could tell you that in our last 100 years only 1 suspected terrorist has ever crossed with illegal immigrants of any kind. I could tell you the Americans who get to ignore laws ( that you seam to be so angry at ) are the same one who are putting all those scare tactics in your head. I could tell you that those same people are trying to convince you that some how all these illegal immigrants with no power are to blame for the hardship you have instead of them (rich and powerful). I could tell you all of that and more to prove your misguided assumptions about me and others are wrong... But... Thats not what it's about... At least not for you. You need someone to blame. You need someone to look down on. Your not going to understand that if every illegal immigrant left the country today your life would still not be any better and those people who have convinced you of that would just find someone else to scapegoat. You're willing pawn because you can't see past your own irrational hate.

It is about short term thinking. It is about useful pawns. The only thing that I find people like you ( smart but often to frustrated to see the whole bored ) miss is... Your manner of thinking, your overt hate for these people, and yes, your belittling of them plays right into their hands. You feel powerless to stop these currupt politicians and big biz but they know that you need to take that frustration out on someone. So they can keep doing what they are doing and you will keep doing what they want. It's those illegals! They are to blame. Not the companies that are taking just as much advantage of them ( if not more so ) as they are you. No! They are touchable. Them you can reach. Thomas Jefferson said dissent is the highest form of patriotism. A founding father. Being willing to point out our broken bits, dispite the hate you get fpr it, so that we can work to make it better is honorable, is patriotism. Its how we learn and grow. So when I say your taking the wrong tactic, your angry at the wrong people and you have to make people feel smaller to make yourself feel better, these are all the completely unnecessary examples of what I mean. you're getting mad at the wrong people and just giving those people that deserve that anger what they want.

@qli2911 okay, can I trouble you to link me that Vox report? I try to keep up on those things and don't remember seeing it. Id love to read it. I am well aware of the undercounting of illegal immigrants in this country. It would be illogical if they had an accurate number considering the circumstance. I'm also not disputing that we have a broken system. I don't think people should come here illegally. In fact it's better for them to come over legally. Becoming full citizens means they get all the rights and protections of citizenship. I just also recognized the situation most of them are in and how irrelevant crossing a border illegally would be to me when it came to the safety of myself and my family or even their future. It takes on average 10 to 15 years for citizenship. with what Trump wants to Institute it's going to be way worse and some of these people just don't have 10 to 15 years. plus I tend to be a realist. We've been doing catch and release for more than 30 years now and the situation has stayed generally the same. They're going to be over here. We can spend another 30 years getting pissed about it or we can help them to become productive members of society with all the responsibilities that come with it so that they can contribute and help us.
