  12.  @FakingANerve  Money in politics is the crux of the poison apple. It would have to be first. I get your pessimism. The truth is, our politicians have to sell themselves to get elected.... And I'm not talking about to the voters. You need a ridiculous amount of money in order to get elected to leadership in this country. As for holding our Representatives accountable, doj policy actually has a much less goat threshold than passing regular laws. It's just regulation. It's a lot more doable then ppl think. One thing that would solve a whole lot of problems and the one that I would go after first because it would also help the whole bought and paid for a politician problem, would be the making it mandatory for Congressional officials to adhere to the social and Welfare laws that they pass in Congress. You'd be surprised how motivated people get when they find out it's their butts on the line to. It has been crazy. We elected Donald Trump for God's sake. Like I said, though. We're partially to blame for that. The Democratic party should have given us someone to vote for instead of just someone to vote against. Joe Biden is okay. He has his downsides. He's just middle-of-the-road period which seems to be the only thing that the Democratic Party can get past a primary. You can say a lot of things about the Republican party but they're good at marketing their firebrands. We need to stop being afraid of offending people so much and push forward those that would challenge that middle-of-the-road idea. The ideas and the Democratic party shouldn't be focused on who's not going to bother people the most. It should be who's going to vote for, speak out and support our ideals.
