  1. I don't like the dismissal of the religious influence. I think that religion--including Islam, has a lot to do with homophobia so to dismiss it is just dishonest.

  2. No, they don't support our rights (including marriage, which is a right) but they want us to live our lives--so long as we keep our heads down and just shut up. That's not "living our lives."

  4. John Tyson We have the right now and we should keep it--the Republicans are trying to use this to make us willing to give up our rights for safety. As far as that goes, bans on assault weapons would do more that bans on Muslims.

Lucas Cosgrove Trump is not aligning himself with Christians who are fine with gay people or even Christians who don't like gay people but don't think church should be involved with state--he's aligning himself with Christians who want to take away gay people's rights, sometimes who even say we should be imprisoned, killed or chemically castrated. These aren't benign people.

  11. Lucas Cosgrove He's not now. While Hillary evolved Trump had devolved. He's now surrounded himself with every high profile anti-gay preacher in the country. He may have been a "friend" although I don't know that I would go that far, but he's not now.
