+Bentley Briggs There wasn't really "making fun of" in this video. You didn't actually watch it did you.

Met Man Poor dear. Getting paid to bake a cake that doesn't in any way differ from cakes you already bake. You poor suffering martyr.

***** And a bakery isn't a church.

***** If she is selling them in a public business in a town with a nondiscrimination ordinance and refuses to serve me because I'm gay I will report her to the better business authority.

Met Man Gay wedding cakes don't say "gay marriage is great" or "gay marriage is better than straight marriage" on them. It's a cake that the bakery already supplies. They don't have to do anything different to it.
3
Met Man If you offer personalized cakes that is what your product is. It doesn't differ depending on the client. If a client asks for something the baker doesn't do they are always okay to say "our bakery does not offer that service." If they do whatever the client wants and are in a town with a nondiscrimination ordinance they cannot pick and choose.

There's a false equivalency for you.

That couple who claim they were put out of business because they wouldn't bake a cake for a lesbian couple were lying. They didn't just refuse to bake the cake, they doxed the couple and opened them up to a lot of harassment. This is the kind of "Christian" you're holding up as a martyr.

Met Man We've all read your posts and we all think you're wrong. We hear you and don't agree with you. You do not hear us and keep making the same, wrong, statements. You're not convincing anyone because you're wrong.

Met Man Libertarians are always so sure that they make sense. Sure, gays are intolerantly forcing business owners to treat them like every other customer, and that's "fascism." You don't know what words mean.
2
Met Man If they don't want to do the job they shouldn't open a business to the public in a place where there are non-discrimination ordinances.
2
Met Man Actually, there are a lot of religious people who open stores and have no problem offering their products to gay people--or whoever wants to pay for it. If you want to start a church, fine, no one can force you to include gay people. If you open a business to the public IN A PLACE THAT HAS NON-DISCRIMINATION ORDINANCES you have to serve the public. You keep using tolerance in a very dishonest and very right wing conservative way.
2
Met Man They do if you work in a state or town with a nondiscrimination clause.

Met Man Also, that couple that were sued didn't just refuse to bake a cake for the lesbian couple. They doxed them and opened them up to a lot of harassment. That's what the case was really about.
1
Met Man And if those bakers are in towns or states that have non-discrimination ordinances they should be sued. A wedding cake for a gay couple does not, in any way, differ from a wedding cake for a straight couple.

Met Man So, according to you Woolworths was right to bar black people from their lunch counter. Great. They don't have to agree--they have to do the job they contracted to do and if they operate within cities that have requirements they have to follow them. I'm an authoritarian? You're an idiot. But then Libertarians are all Utopian, deluded and naive.
1
Keksi Wow. You're an idiot.

Met Man If baking a cake for a wedding is participating in the wedding then selling a gun is participating in a murder.
