She was not just some nice lady who harbored hatred in her heart  but never let it manifest in the real world. She did awful things and I'm not going to pretend she didn't because she died.

She did terrible things to people including her son who could barely get through life because of all the shame she inflicted on him. You don't care about that because you're trying to make excuses for her horrible actions. Her politics went beyond the voting booth and affected people's lives. She was a horrible person.
