  4. Nawid Yusuf  Whether they have been prosecuted or not it is illegal. Foreigners have been imprisoned, whipped and deported.  Citizens would be too afraid to be open about it.  All of this has led to a lot of criticism in regards to the World Cup.  As far as how many citizens have been prosecuted that information doesn't seem to be available.

  6. Nawid Yusuf There is a slight bit of difference.  As long as the law is on the books it can be used and the law and fear of violence is being used to keep gay citizens in Qatar quiet.
