  1. The convoy is an easy target for Ukrainian soldiers, so Russian soldiers are abandoning their vehicles to avoid being sitting ducks. This has been misunderstood as desertion.

  2.  @DarkSaguaro  They are just waiting on fuel, but they don't want to be next to a parked truck hit by a molotov or next to a parked tank hit by a javelin missle. If Russia could figure out their logistics, then the soldiers would likely return to their trucks.
