  1. Odessa has spend months fortifying. Russia also can't figure our their own logistics, so it is unlikely for the army to travel far from the Russian border. It would also be significantly easier for NATO to supply weapons to Odessa than any other front. There are reasons why Russia has been avoid the city throughout the war.
