2020 had record new gun owners, because liberal mayors and DA's used covid as an excuse to release violent criminal from jail and practically decriminalize most crime by refusing to prosecute. It looks like many of these progressives are starting to backtrack on "defend the police" due to the crazy crime wave that resulted. People had to protect themselves, because the government wasn't doing their job.
