  1.  @irritatedanglosaxon1705  Investing in the US backyard is different than investing in Russia's backyard. Unlike the US and the EU, Russia can't compete economically with China. Russia literally invaded Ukraine to prevent a trade deal with the EU, because Russia doesn't want competitors in it's backyard.
