Maybe they should vote for politicians who would invest in education and infrastructure instead of the left-wing crooks who promise wealth distribution. These voters seem to prefer 'free' stuff over better opportunities, and that is why Latin America is getting left behind economicly compared to Asia.

Another example of left wingers who are going to sink the economy.

@luiginb The mining companies are bringing investments and jobs. The leftie government officials are just lining their pockets with the tax revenue. Why do you think only the "socialist" in Cuba and Venezuela are rich?

@djangokill65 The American model involves hiring locals who can then spend money in their community. The Chinese model involves importing Chinese workers who then send all the money back to China, while the local Africans get nothing. In the Chinese model all the money goes to China and the African officials taking kickbacks.

@dvklaveren It worked out pretty for America until the country unknowingly elected a socialist imbecile who is going to sink the economy with out of control spending on 'free stuff'.

@ArawnOfAnnwn They give them free food, free housing, and free money. It is nice to help the poor, but giving a man a fish feeds him for a day, while teaching a man to fish feeds him for a lifetime. Look at Venezuela where all the oil money went to free stuff for the poor instead of investments. With oil wealth gone, they don't have any other industries due to them having an unskilled labor market and failing infrastructure. Just look at the proposed bills that the American lefties want where they want to spend $6 trillion on free stuff and only $1 trillion on actual infrastructure.

@ChickenVeggi It not about the amount. It is about the timing. Trump was spending money when everyone was fired or forced to stay home. Biden is spending money when the economy was recovering and unemployment is at a much lower than the number of available jobs. This new spending is causing inflation and encouraging people to stay home instead of looking for a job.

@r.s.10 The first rounds of stimulus spending were needed to save the economy. However, with the economy already recovering, the latest round of stimulus spending was unnecessary, and it exacerbated issues with unemployment and inflation. Maybe read the WSJ or NYT instead clickbait on Facebook. In addition, the "human infrastructure" is just another way of saying "unpaid for entitlement spending" or "free stuff". None of it is actually an investment that will grow the economy.

@ChickenVeggi I recommend using common sense instead of regurgitating the nonsense you see on MSNBC. Your statements are completely contradictory. You claim people need more money because they are struggling, while claiming they are also so flush with government money that can choose not to work until they find a dream job that they are completely unqualified for.
1
@louvendran7273 That still sounds like wasteful leftist spending sold as "free stuff". A lot of that typically goes into the pockets of the politicians friends.

@starestairs5090 The protests ended, but did the underlying issues end?
1
@starestairs5090 It is wierd that you are promoting ignorance.

Is there enough wealth outside of Lima to operate local governments like they do in the States and Switzerland?
1
Sounds like the Bolivarian Revolution that lead to the collapse of Venezuela.

@Proud SwCC Supporter Because Venezuela is thriving under the new economic system?

It sounds like something political actors can use to justify whatever they want. All they have to do reclassify something as an "indirect" benefit and now it's "Socially Profitable". If they want it scrapped, then something is no longer considered beneficial in their eyes, so it is no longer "Socially Profitable". I don't imagine many outsiders want to invest in a country with such opaque laws.
