@bjornodin The point is that free speech has few limits as giving individuals the ability to silence speech is more dangerous than anything an individual can say. Do you honestly want to give McCarthy the ability to punish those that he perceives as behaving badly?

@bjornodin Strong institutions are the only good way to limit abuses of power. Expecting politicians to practice restraint or good judgment based solely on their character is ridiculously naive.
