It refreshing to see a biography of an American hero without whitewashing his flaws. You almost never hear about MLK's Marxist beliefs and his adultery. Many fear that addressing his very human flaws will somehow diminish his legacy and make them seem racist.

MLK would have spoke out against the looting and arson. Non-violence is part of his legacy.

Is that the father of modern Turkey?

@ignitionfrn2223 Cancel culture is the extreme on the other end. For example, in the eyes of progressives, Thomas Jefferson's legacy is solely defined by slavery.

@ah_libra His predilection for Marxism during the Cold War is taboo enough where few mention it in order to avoid criticizing him. You also bring up the point that the only time the minister's adultery is brought up is when it frames him as the victim of persecution by the FBI. MLK is one of greatest men in American history. We don't have to pretend like he is a flawless human being.

@CulturalBolshevik They wouldn't call MLK a troublemaker, because his protests were non violent. BLM are troublemakers because their protests turn into riots, looting, and arson. After all the destruction, the BLM leaders says it is justified by all the outrage the community feels. Lastly, Democrats were the ones who called the peaceful protesters troublemakers.

@CulturalBolshevik Republicans condemned BLM for all the violence, and they mock them for ridiculous demands like abolishing the police. It is a mischaracterization to claim Republicans oppose civil rights.

@CulturalBolshevik No one is arguing for police brutality and white supremacy. BLM can and should oppose these things, but it doesn't mean they should be encouraging arson, looting, and rioting. Also, defining yourself as a "civil rights" group doesn't exempt you from ridicule for ridiculous ideas such eliminating the police.

@CulturalBolshevik The BLM leaders continously defend the rioters, arsonist, and looters, because the BLM leaders "understand their outrage". The organizations are run by inefficient leaders who can generate violent protests, but can't get many voters to the polls. They also managed to alienate a mostly sympathetic country by demanding reparations, abolishing the police, and insisting teachers to tell children they have 'white privilege'. Republicans mock AOC and Bernie's socialist ideas plenty without characterizating them as troublemakers.
