  11.  @anyname777  US missles in Eastern Europe are designed to hit jets and ballistic missles. This is only an issue for Russia if it wants to attack Europe. Russia is putting these same missle systems in Venezuela, but there isn't any preemptive strike.

  26. Russia troops are all over Venezuela, yet the country remains uninvaded. Plus, how ignorant are you to believe it isn't in the United States' best interests to prevent autocratics like Russia and China from destroying sovereign republics. Functioning democracies are the United States' greatest economic, diplomatic, and security allies. If we let them continously be destroyed by greater powers, then America will drastically loose influence in world affairs.

  32. Eastern Europe wants NATO protection, because Russia keeps invading them. If Russia would stop threatening their neighbors, then Ukraine and others wouldn't even seek NATO protections. America's next-door neighbors aren't seeking military alliances, because America doesn't attack its neighbors. Russia should try the same.

  34. Maybe. I think Russian are not okay with their soldiers coming home in body bags. Putin put a lot of effort to hide the amount of dead soldiers during the 2014 invasion. The Ukraine military is significantly better trained and armed than they were 8 years ago, so an invasion would lead to more dead Russians than Putin can politically handle.

  38. According to NATO rules, Ukraine can't even join NATO as long as they have a border dispute. Ukraine would have to give up their claim to Crimea which they would never do. Putin knows this, but his gullible population still eats up his lies.
