@ericecho5118 Trump negotiated a peace deal with the Taliban where they reduce violence in exchange for withdrawing foreign troops. Since the Taliban didn't hold up any part of the bargain, it doesn't make sense that Biden had to follow through with Trump's promise to withdraw troops. It is lie to deflect responsibility, and only a fool would fall for it.

@thebusybee7080 It was a conditional agreement that the Taliban wasn't honoring. Biden has no one to blame other than himself for continuing to withdraw troops without any concessions from the Taliban. It was Biden's decision; not Trump's. If he wanted Trump to make all decisions and take all the blame, then he should have let the orange man be president.

@comedianpottymouth That is a false dichodomy. We could have keep airpower and intelligence services in the country with little to no risk to American lives. Biden didn't want any troops left because he cares more about establishing a legacy of ending the war than protecting the lives of Afghans or Americans.

@elizabethmcconnell7054 The obvious solution is keep the airforce and intelligence personnel in the country to support the Afghans AT LEAST until we were able to evacuate our Afghan allies.

@elizabethmcconnell7054 They didn't want to die for a lost cause. In Iraq, the Iraqi army fled from ISIS because they didn't think they could win. The same army took back ISIS territory after moral was raised by American support. These troops are confident that they can win with American backing, so when Biden said he didn't care about their fate, moral dipped and they surrendered.
