norm simpson You can't just blame the municipal governments. Texas also has corrupt municipal governments, but they get punished by the state by withholding funds or prosecuting criminals. Meanwhile, Newsom just keeps giving these corrupt city leaders more money and more praise. Newsom just keeps encouraging bad behavior.

@kirkm63 California has a higher number of covid death than both Florida and Texas. Their extended lockdown only cause more economic problems, higher suicide rates, and push the deaths down the road when Omicron hit.

@Zeke-id2bo Biden was elected because he ran on being a moderate, and then when Biden got elected he thought he some progressive mandate, so he abandoned moderation and bipartisanship. Meanwhile, Trump rivals are trying to out crazy him (which is saying something).

@Zeke-id2bo Trump had a great cabinet at the start of his term who had excellent government policy. As time went on, Trump's erratic behavior chased off these great men and women, and then Trump started replacing them 'Yes' men. The Trump administration of 2016 was great, but by 2020, the Trump administration was full of clowns. A Trump administration of 2024 would probably look a Qaron club. You can get this information from all his ex cabinet people's books. There are a lot of them speaking out at the disfunction.
