@ClunFunDun A full withdrawal of Iraq led to ISIS taking over a third of the country, and a full withdrawal of Afghanistan led to a return of Al Qaeda training camps. It is better to keep a few troops there instead of returning to clean up the mess with a full scale military operation.

@ARCSTREAMS Why ask a question that has been answered? Iraq asked us to return to kick out ISIS, and they want us to stay to prevent a resurgence.
