If you aren't tall or rich, half the dating pool won't even talk to you. That mean you are competing for a limited number of non-shallow women. If you are in your twenties, then you also have to compete with men in their thirties and forties who are farther in their careers. It is incredibly discouraging, and many have given up.

superbmediacontentcreator I'm guessing you are a woman as you have the option to go on dates until you find a good match. Men in their 20s have a hard enough time getting the time of day unless they are particularly attractive. Imagine running up a bar tab buying drinks for women who pretend to be interested for free drinks, but they aren't interested, or they already have a boyfriend. Imagine if a hundred swipes lead to 10 matches that end up never messaging back. Imagine if you finally get a woman messaging you to have her ghost you when it comes to meeting in person. Modern dating is brutal on the self-esteem.
