The difference: The 2nd Amendment is in the constitution, while there isn't any constitutional right to [word that YouTube will censor]

@Abmotsad Constitutionally, the states have that right. Not sure why they would though

@Abmotsad What are enumerated rights is debatable, because it isn't clearly defined by the constitution. Those rights are defined by tradition or implied by other rights in the constitution. The right to bear arms is clearly defined, while the right to privacy depends on one's interpretation.

@Abmotsad Your orginal post to me is the state's rights to take your sneakers which is just a nonsensical metaphor. It also seems you are confused about the topic as a whole. "Enumerated rights" are said to be implied instead of defined by the bill of rights. This leads to a lot of interpretation (or debate) from judges what the enumerated rights are. Some judges see them, where others do not. The right to privacy is a enumerated rights that is the foundation of RoeWade. The current court says that right isn't defined my the constitution. Meanwhile, the 2nd amendment is clearly defined. Their recent ruling says you shouldn't have to ask the state permission to use constitutional right. It is like requiring to get the approval from the state to make a speech or practice your religion.

@jmswillow5969 That is complete nonsense. The founding fathers have tons of documentation that the right to bear arms was about personal gun ownership.
