Lol "thin blue line" is not some authoritarian ideology, it's just appreciation for the people who sacrifice on a daily basis, these people go through some psychological sh*t, and when people dont show their appreciation these cops develop some dark thoughts on the populace that's constantly dumping on them. That's like saying that because I support the troops and vets that I support war, what are you dumb? They just dont want these officers and even vets to think their sacrifices were for naught. Hell the only reason some people are defending this is BECAUSE the reaction is almost always overblown, I dont blame them for being overly cautious especially when something like this makes the job harder for all other officers.
