It just depends on which channel you post comments on. Try Hindustan Times. Their censorship is the worst I have encountered but biased against anything perceived as Western interests. Try leaving your comments there. They won't get deleted. 👍

Not bad for a country that only came into contact with modern civilisation less than 250 years ago. @deanlowdon8381 Well, that's not quite true is it? War/conflict greatly accelerates the development of technology, tools, weapons, medicine, scientific knowledge, manufacturing processes and so on. The benefits are often not the original aim of the developers. ie: Jet propulsion and computers. Aside from that, war does often benefit both the victors and the defeated. Examples would be the incredible wealth and prosperity that flowed to many European countries from the colonisation of other countries and Japan's transformation from a militant feudal society before the late 19th century to a prosperous, technological powerhouse after WW2.
