I took my live in Japanese girlfriend back to Europe to meet family and friends. Some of my friends were spellbound. Some years later I was in Texas watching the news and a reporter was asking a Japanese woman if she supported this crazy European who was intent on running the Pan-American highway,in its entirety. She replied that it was her husbands' endeavor. Pressed by this aggressive,short haired Californian reporter as to whether she supported him,she replied that she supported him in EVERYTHING he did. It was not her place to afford criticism, only support. Her husband was my college classmate.
