There is another part to men going their own way. Those of us who did have a good woman,a joy to come home to. A shared life. Then she up and died. Sometimes,no chance to say goodbye. The dating pool is a wakeup call to a living nightmare. The ignorance,mentally challenged pool whales,and predators are suddenly everywhere. However a red pill a day keeps the psychiatrist away.

@Malestrom no,the result is only logically the same to someone who hasn't lived it. To lose someone you don't care about isn't the same as someone you do. A cheater isn't missed,your sister is.

@motorbreath22 She was both traditional,in a cultural, and religious context. Also skilled in cooking,medicine and languages. Had she survived would our relationship have survived? I think it would have, though with the usual difficulties that generate growth. I once told her that tigers are powerful but agree to share the same cave to further their joint ambitions. It's not easy to discuss relationships that span diverse points of view and those areas that concur and form bonding points. For instance, we both survived traumatic events that left us disabled and once I told her cousin that we were a couple with three of everything that worked. We both hugged each other laughing. Her cousin was appalled at the joke. My father (in law) when he was told,smiled and said "at least they share the same dark humor."

@seancouger007 to be darkly, morbidly humorous about it,others think it's like being ghosted. I celebrate their ignorance and at the same time feel sadness that many won't have enjoyed such a glowing time shared with another.
