  2. That's where people get confused. Government of, by and for the peoplenwas a sentiment expressed by Lincoln. The constitution clearly delineates between the two. The people and the governent are not contiguous or overlapping.

  4.  @scroogemcduckismyspiritanimal  Enforcement of the border is designated to the federal governement by constitutional provision. There is also something that says anything not apportioned to the federal government is by defaut granted tonthe states or to the people. It not a connection I'm making, it's a distinction. Made by the people? Okay. But a distinction all the same. We are not our government.
