@marsCubed You're grouping all "psychopathic disorders" together. No two cases of the same condition are the same, not even considering all the possible conditions a person might have. The important factors are, as you say, whether or not a person understand what they're doing and nothing from her journal entry implied that she didn't.

Utterly hideous crime. It is good to see, though, that few people have gone the route of "torture this bitch slowly for the rest of her life" or "burn her then freeze her then burn her then...". I hate when people respond to horrific acts by fantasising about horrific act they'd like to commit themselves. Okay who am I kidding, I can't help myself - if this story had been about a man exposing himself to a 9 year old or something sexual, people would be reacting FAR more angrily. #JustSayin

@Jex134 I understand if your aim is simply to try to establish whether or not she was a "sociopath", but people should be careful when they talk about psychological disorders in connection with crimes. The only question is whether or not somebody a) understood what they were doing, and b) was in control of their actions. Despite my name, I'm a very non-violent guy, but I've felt flat out homicidal at times during extreme bouts of depression. My issues would not in any way have excused me.
