@elnegrobembon The thing is, I can understand only 'becoming' gay or bisexual later in life (happened with me) because we're conditioned by society to see heterosexuality as the default, the normal state. It seems harder to believe that somebody would grow up being interested in their own sex, and then discover that they're actually straight. Not saying it can't happen, because humans are fascinating and we know very little about ourselves. It is odd though.

HOARDES of TYT viewers wax on about how it's fine for boys to have sex with women because said boys were horny, not ONE took up my challenge to say it'd be fine for a man to have sex with a girl if she was equally horny (and him equally kind of heart). TYT are guilty of blatant gender bias, but you may be too. Critical thinking *must* be applied to oneself too.

@ACluelessKid Yes, it's because she has a vagina which prevents her from doing harm. If she had a penis, said penis would be receiving threats of decapitation from just about everyone and their neighbour. My personal stance is that it's never right for a teacher/young pupil to have sex because of all the complications and potential for harm. However, I don't like that people generally refuse to differentiate between rape and underage mutually agreed sexuality. Nuances are *always* important.

Why do people keep saying "she's not a lesbian, she's a paedophile"? Are you people who are saying that suggesting that you're still heterosexual if you're sexually attracted to YOUNG people of your own gender? I want to know, is that what you believe? (Warning: to anyone thinking of pointing out that paedophiles are interested in both genders, that's wrong. I don't know why that belief exists, but it's not true)

@shagdad76 When you say you hate paedophiles, do you mean people who've abused or had sex with minors or people who find minors attractive? Because hating people who find minors attractive makes no more sense than hating people who find their own sex attractive. (When I ask this question most people angrily explain to me about how it's wrong to have sex with children, clearly that is not what I'm asking - I'm asking about people who have the unchosen attraction of liking children)

@awsomenesscaleb I personally think that women/females are simply less bound by gender expectations. I'm a 26yo man who's long since abandoned such arbitrary nonsense and I can say that I'm an 'ex-straight'. I only discovered/identified and embraced my attraction to other males little under a year ago. In hindsight, I see that I simply avoided thoughts of males who I now find attractive through 'doublethink'. Most women have no such pressure to bow to such expectations and insecurity.

@TheHaloHax Ah I see, I'm using London slang. Round here people say spliff, joint (both used interchangably), but round my way it was always 'zoot' (supposed to be pronounced like 'toot', but my friends and I say it like 'foot'). Hardly anybody smokes pures because we mostly get buddy stuff which smokes badly on its own and it too expensive. I get that the more smoke the worse it is, but tobacco is incredibly more dangerous than other herbs. Pure joints smell GREAT but don't really taste good.

To the masses, if it's a man he's automatically a perverted beast like abuser, if it's a girl she's a doe like damsel who either doesn't want this 'sex thing' or doesn't understand what she wants, the silly little thing. @TMOvids What matters most is the nature of the incident. She may have used her position of power to coerce the girl. But she may not, it may have been mutually desired. Having said that, nuance is not something most people care for. Neither is thinking rather than feeling and choosing anger over intellect. On a final note, while the term paedophile is used abusively, it's not more abusive than 'heterosexual' or 'lactose intolerant'. It's just a social taboo (IF you know the real definition).

@ACluelessKid No, you're thinking of child rapists. People mix the two up due to the ignorance of the media and the refusal of society to differentiate. Paedophiles find those below puberty sexually attractive. That's it. CHILD ABUSERS act out of power over attraction because they are rapists. While many don't care, I will say that they're heartless bastards not to because innocent paedophiles are beaten and murdered because of the mix up. The phrase "innocent paedophile" alone enrages many.

@wade2bosh People have strange ways of classifying things, which is fine I suppose as language is a crude vehicle for the reality of our complex minds. I'm bisexual, but rarely attracted to males past their mid 20s. Primarily I like guys from 13 up, peaking at around 16. I think that age only prevents you from being non-straight if they're so young that they're indistinguishable (e.g. babies). Teenage boys and girls are very different, hence it does define your sexual orientation.

It seems the floodlight of ignorance has lit up the sky and I must descend once more. First part is tired, and we should all know it by now: paedofile = ATTRACTION to PRE-pubescents. Not child molestor, not attraction to TEENS. More importantly, judge things by the DAMAGE CAUSED. Not by their gender. Don't paint men as more evil than women/boys as lesser victims than girls. ALL cases should be judged INDIVIDUALLY. So don't fantasise about hanging, drawing, and quartering every teacher...

@TheHaloHax No, that's just a European (I can only really speak for my native Britain) custom. Personally, I use a herbal tobacoo free product called Knaster. It legitimately burns just as well (even better I think) than tobacco, and lacks the nicotine and high levels of tar. Please don't mark this as advertising, if people switch to that product they might wind up saving their lives.

We need to realise that we're *all* flawed. For all we know she wouldn't have desired their sexual liaison and she used her position of power to coerce her. @VlcakStalker Although you're probably trolling, there's nothing obscene about loving ANYONE. There's something obscene about taking advantage of someone, or manipulating them, or pushing them into doing something they wouldn't otherwise want to do. However, our societ(ies) demonise love. I could feel absolute love for a 10 year old. I wouldn't want to have sex with them or hurt them, but it's seen as obscene. It's society's collective disgust focused towards a common enemy and easy target.

@DaisyExodus The two aren't mutually exclusive. If you're attracted to those of your own sex then you're either homosexual or bisexual. If you're attracted to pre-pubescent males or females you're a paedophile. I don't buy the ex-gay part either, but I don't write it off as impossible. I only discovered/identified and accepted/embraced by attraction to other guys very recently and I'm 26. So I'm ex-straight, but it makes more sense because straight was the default sexuality I assumed.
